Lexmark
The Lexmark PrintCryption Card analyzes the encrypted data stream, determines if the correct key was used to encrypt the data, decrypts the data and allows the data to be printed. If an incorrect key was used to encrypt the data, all data is discarded, host software such as VPS/Secure is notified and nothing is printed. Files that are not encrypted will print normally. For mainframe environments, Secured Output Distribution products from Levi, Ray, & Shoup, allow output to be encrypted during the entire transmission from the mainframe to the printer (end-to-end). VPS/Secure working with VPS and VPS/TCPIP encrypts output from the mainframe's MVS JES spool and sends this output over TCP/IP to a network-connected printer or MFP with a Lexmark PrintCryption Card installed and that has been defined to the VPS software on the mainframe.
